On October 28th, Dakota and Timber found their forever homes! Thank you everyone for allowing this story to have a happy ending!! If it wasn't for the combined effort of two fantastic Klee Kai organizations, this terrific ending may not have happened the way it did.
Because of these The United Alaskan Klee Kai Club, and the Alaskan Klee Kai Association of America both support the Alaskan Klee Kai National Rescue, we have been able to find homes to FOUR different Klee Kai in need. THANK YOU very much to both organizations in giving us the needed support and advice that have allowed us to have happy endings to stories. Without your knowledge, we wouldn't be where we are today!
The Alaskan Klee Kai is yet a rare breed with a limited number of breeders and owners, making the need for rescue a small one. Many breeders have participated in rescue to cover these needs over the years. As the breed continues to grow so will the need for rescue.
The Alaskan Klee Kai Association of America and The United Alaskan Klee Kai Associate both support the Alaskan Klee Kai National Rescue (AKKNR) in its preparation for these growing needs to help with not only rescue, but also rehabilitation and re-homing.
Alaskan Klee Kai National Rescue will take in abandoned, abused, neglected, and owner surrendered AKK. It will work with other rescues and shelters to find AKK suitable forever homes. AKKNR will provide foster homes for AKK that need a place to stay while they are waiting for their forever home, as well as work on socialization, training, and obtain any needed veterinary care for these AKK. All potential homes are very carefully screened to ensure each AKK gets its perfect forever home. Their goal is to help all Alaskan Klee Kai that need to be helped, and help them find wonderful homes where they will be healthy and happy for their entire lifetime.
The advisors are representatives from the two UKC recognised breed clubs, who are laisions between the clubs and Alaskan Klee Kai National Rescue, Inc.
