Itzy Bitzy Huskies was formed AROUND our very own Itzy Bitzy! We found Itzy Bitzy in 2004, and our lives have been forever changed. We live, sleep and breath AKK thanks to Chris Shackleford and Itzy Bitzy. Itzy Bitzy flew in from Alabama, and took over our house. He has attached himself mainly to me, but will allow Gordy to play and cuddle with him. He doesn't like children or strangers, but loves being looked at. He is so proud, and will often be found laying with his front paws crossed, being the royal canine that he is.
We first found out about the AKK by watching a TV series Designer Dogs, and I KNEW I needed one. After months of research, I was able to find my own jewel via the internet. He flew in from Alabama, and has been with us 24 x 7 ever since.
After learning more about the AKK, and falling totally in love with the breed, we decided to help others find their own true loves, by getting into the breeding program.
Because we own and operate a dog boarding and grooming facility called Kennelz and Bitz, we unfortunately do not have the time to have very many litters a year. Our females and male live WITH us, so the puppies will be very well adjusted to family noises and sounds. We will whelp them in our puppy/laundry room, where they will stay until they become to big to stay in their whelping box, at that time they will taking over our house, and learning to use doggie doors during the daytime hours when we are busy with the kennel.
We are new to breeding klee kai, but have years of breeding experience by raising cocker spaniels. We live on a hobby farm, and Gordy and I both grew up in the country living with animals of all kinds, shapes and sizes.
Our first female, Nunya came to us from Alan and Barb Wiebelhaus in North Dakota, you can view their website at www.wiebelhuskyskleekai.com. Unfortunately Nunya's life was cut short due to a TRAGIC accident, and a day still doesn't go by without me thinking of our single blued angel. Alan and Barb have become more then our mentors, they are truly a blessing in our lives. They have become our friends.
Our foundation male came from the wiebelhusky clan. His name is Wiebelhusy's Itzy Bitzy Casbah Cash, and he is a beautiful black/white parti-eyed little boy!! I am hoping the Itzy Bitzy Zoo doesnt scare the little guy too much. Casbah is still young, so he likes to sleep alot, and he is a cuddler. He doesnt hog the bed, just the pillow! As you can see he has so much love in his beautiful face! It will be fun to have another black beauty around here chasing the girls and the bitzy!
Alan and Barb are having to relocate from North Dakota to Kansas, so we are going to be dog sitting for three of their loved ones for six months. We are so excited to introduce Scooter and his girls to our gang! Scooter look so much like our itzy bitzy, and we have to keep looking at Sassy's eyes because we confuse her with Meshik. Kela however we never confuse, and she is the lover of the bunch. She loves to cuddle and give kisses! We are also fortunate enough to be able to have Scooter breed our girls while he's here. So we have GREAT news.... we will for sure have three litters here this fall, and Meishka may have to wait for the Casbah to grow older before she can be a mommy!
We were fortunate when Barbara Williams offered us the chance to bring our Little Meishka into our home. You can find out about the Texas clan by visiting their website @ www.kleekai.us. Meishka is going to be our toy foundation female, but don't let her size fool you, she is the boss of everyone. She has become the queen of our bed, and is so sassy. She loves meeting people, and telling everyone that she owns everyone, and everything. She doesn't like to be picked up, everything has to be on her terms! Because she is always on the go, keeping weight on her is a challenge, so she gets special food at night, which just makes her think she's even more spoiled!! There is no doubt in our minds that she owns us!
After being on a waiting list for a couple of years, we finally were able to bring home Meshik from Colorado. Meshik will probably be a standard once she is fully grown. She is so tender and loving. She loves laying like a baby in your arms and falling asleep while you rub her belly. She loves to TALK from the moment she she's you in the a.m., until she finally crashes for the night. Meshik unfortunately gets car sick, so isnt able to go on as many rides as the rest, bt boy does she tell you off when you get back from leaving her at home. She is a lover for sure! You can find out more about Eileen Gregory and her wonderful clan by visiting her website @ http://www.alaskankleekai.com/About%20Our%20Kennels.htm
We are hoping to add Kela to our family soon!!! We will let you know if and when it's official.
We are proud to introduce, WIEBELHUSKY'S ITZYBITZY MAKITA to the Itzy Bitzy Zoo!! She was born here to us on October 3rd, 2008 and we cannot let her leave our home!! She will be a breeding female if she passes all of the breeding qualifications.
